Cancún wedding questions
How much does a wedding in Cancún cost?
Resort packages on this site start under $1,000 for an elopement and run from about $3,000 to $15,000 for a ceremony with a reception for 30 to 60 guests. Larger luxury weddings go well beyond that. Guests usually pay for their own rooms.
Can our wedding really be free?
Often, yes. Many all-inclusive resorts include a basic wedding package when your group books enough rooms, for example 7 nights for the couple or 5 rooms for 3 nights. Each resort guide lists the exact terms.
Is a beach wedding in Mexico legally binding?
Most resort packages include a symbolic ceremony. A legal civil ceremony is possible with extra paperwork and fees, and many couples marry legally at home and celebrate in Mexico.
When is the best time of year?
December to April brings dry, sunny weather and the highest demand. May and early December are warm with good value. Hurricane season runs from June to November, with lower prices and a higher chance of rain.
Can we bring our own photographer?
Usually, yes. Many resorts charge an outside vendor fee, often $500 to $1,500 per vendor. Each resort guide shows the published fee when there is one.
